How is it different from other link in bio tools?

The gist of is bootstrapped by three passionate creators who believe your personal mini-site should tell a story and look beautiful. The minimalistic approach and focus on storytelling sets the gist of apart from Linktree and other competitors.

Can I use it for free?

Yes! The basic version of the gist of is and always will be free.

How do I claim my handle?

To claim your handle, you need to sign up and verify your email address. Every user gets a unique handle, so make sure you claim it before is too late.

What happens if I don’t verify my email?

If you don’t verify your email address within 48 hours, your account will be deleted and your user handle will be back up for grabs.

How can I add the links?

First, you need to write the text. Once you are happy with it, select the text to which you want to add a link and hit “Add a link” in the context menu that will appear.

How many links can I add to the gist of me?

You can include as many as you want, but we recommend 4-8 links to keep it simple and easily digestible. Including too many options slows down your visitors course of action.

What’s the difference between Simple and Monochrome text color settings?

A simple setting will set your text color to white or black based on the color of your background and the contrast between those two. Monochrome will use the color of your background as a base of the text color and make it light or dark based on the contrast.

Can I try paid features?

Yes, in the editor, you can try advanced styling options to see how they look.

How can I publish my mini-site?

If you are satisfied with how the gist of you looks, hit publish on the top, and your mini-site will be alive on the internet.

Do I need to publish it first before I share it?

Before you share the gist of you with the world, make sure you publish it; otherwise, what you’ve created won’t be available on the internet.

What will I get if I upgrade to a paid subscription?

If you become our supporter, you’ll get additional styling options, access to analytics, and the ability to remove our logo from your page. However, the list of benefits is not final, and we’ll be introducing new features monthly.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. If you cancel, you will still have access to premium features until the end of your billing period.

Can I use my own domain?

Unfortunately, that’s not currently an option. However, it’s already on our roadmap, and we’ll do our best to make it available.
